Sherwood Fusion Theory Conference

The 2024 Sherwood Conference will be in Missoula, Montana May 6-8th

Eva, Bradley, and William will be attending from IPL as will Gabriel Woodbury from Dr. Luca Guazzotto's research group at Auburn. Eva’s poster title: Application of spectral theory to the study of anomalous diffusion in fusion plasmas. Bradley’s poster title: Using Nonextensive (Tsallis) Statistics to Characterize Anomalous Diffusion in Fusion Plasmas. William’s poster title: Disruption identification in fusion plasmas with three-dimensional magnetic field configurations. 

Future Technologies and Enabling Plasma Processes (FTPP)

The 2024 FTPP conference will be in Birmingham, Alabama May 8-10th

Eva, and Bradley, and many other Auburn students and facility from MPRL  participated in Alabama's FTPP conference whose goal is to increase understanding of plasma and study agricultural and industry applications. FTPP's hopes to make Alabama the leading state of plasma technology and powerhouse of the southeast.

Dusty Plasma Workshop

The Dusty Plasma Workshop will in Minneapolis, Minnesota May 19th-22nd 

This will be attended by Eva, Bradley, Brooks, and David as well as many other Auburn graduate students. Eva’s talk: Application of Spectral Theory and Fractional Calculus to Dusty Plasma. Brooks’ talk: Using sparse regression with SINDy to learn anisotropic dust-dust interaction in a microgravity dusty plasma. Bradley’s poster title: Using Tsallis statistics to understand anisotropic anomalous diffusion and equilibrium properties in microgravity dusty plasma. David’s poster title: Structure Formation in PK-4 Compressional Experiments.
